Obituary of Micki Badger Magno

Micki (Margaret) Badger Magno, was born July 18, 1942 to George William Badger, DVM and Rosemary Gaffney Badger in Wilson, NY. Beloved mother, sister, wife and friend, she passed away peacefully on March 29, 2020.
Micki grew up in Lockport NY and graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy (De Sales High School). She attended Cornell University and graduated with a B.S. degree from Buffalo State College. She married Raymond G. Magno of Caldwell, NJ in 1965, and they went on to raise their family in Caldwell NJ, West Palm Beach FL and Vienna VA.
Micki worked as a social worker in Buffalo NY, had a career in real estate and also worked for American Airlines. She returned to Lockport in 1996, and served on the Dale Association, Kenan Arts Council, the Canal Task Force, and was a member of the Lockport Chorale among other local civic associations.
She was a passionate community advocate in Lockport.
She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Magno and Elizabeth (Christian) Barnes; her grandson, Warren Barnes; her husband Raymond G. Magno; sister Kristin (Gerald) Badger-Bach; brother James (Alison) Badger; Lucia Badger (late); sister-in-law Diane (Robert) Mabey; nieces Victoria (Roland) Grap and Christine (Mark) Friesz; nephews Jonathan (Timmie) Mitten and Jedidiah Mitten; and eight great nieces and nephews- Taylor, Ryan, Rachel & Marc; Cody; Sabrina & Chloe; and Sterling.
She was one of the most loving people we knew. She made us better versions of ourselves, and we are grateful for every moment together. She will always be with us.
Our deep thanks to all family, friends and the wonderful staff at Niagara Hospice for your love and support. A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
