I was so heartbroken to find out Micki passed . Myself and some of her friends from USAir planned on visiting her in mid March but needed to cancel due to the corona virus. I spoke to her just before all this started. She was always such a great friend. I wish now we had gotten together more often. My prayers to your family. She will be sadly missed. Sincerely Mary Ann Holeva.

Mick was an amazing woman. She was my patient and she was such a beautiful woman inside and out. She never said a mean word about anyone. I used to take extra time with her because she was just such a sweet lady. I would tell her everyday how beautiful she was. Also she always laughed at my jokes. I am missing her so much. She raised her girls up right and the rest of the family is awesome. And her best friend who came everyday was also amazing. I will be praying for her sister and family and friends. I know just how much this hurts. Mick left an amazing legacy behind. I will never forget her. I will meet her at the front gates of heaven when it’s my time to pass from this earth into eternity. I can hardly wait for that day.

Micki was a great friend and a true community advocate. She was undoubtedly the best dressed volunteer for the annual Canal Clean Sweep, and there was no plastic bag on the canal bank that was beyond her reach! Passionate and steadfast she was in opposing the Lockport Walmart project. I will always have many good memories of her.

Our family has many wonderful memories of time spent with Micki, Ray and the girls when they lived in Florida. I know my Dad George will have a Manhatten waiting for her at the pearly gates of heaven to welcome her. She was an inspiration to me growing up. She was a very strong and independent woman. She will be sorely missed.

I got to know Micki through our efforts to continue Modern Mother's Club for our Mothers and all the remaining aging members. We had lots of fun and always enjoyed wine at our luncheons. We had a great time. Thanks to her and Kris for being so good to my Mother-in-law, Mary. She was always so kind to all.

Beautiful, both inside and out, Micki's magnetic personality collected a myriad of lasting friends, for a multitude of years. With each career change and continuing into retirement, she gathered even more into an ever blooming garden of love over her lifetime of "doing the right thing".
David and I met Micki during the formation of the Erie Canal Task Force where, as we served together and during which our friendship took root, and continued to bloom for decades, blossoming even more richly while we shared other community service commitments for years and always "there for each other" during many personally challenging times in all of our lives. However, Micki's life proved there are indeed angels on earth. Undoubtedly she now dwells among them in Heaven - may she rest in peace.
The consummate daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, we were all blessed to have had her in our own lives and I pray that knowing that shall bring comfort to each of her devoted family members.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Renee

I met Micki when she became involved in the Kenan Arts Council. She was eager to be involved and someone who provided a spark and a smile when something needed to be done. She was easy to like and had real spunk...always in a good way. I'll miss her. My condolences to her friends and family. Jane

It is no surprise that she left this world as the sun lowered in the sky to touch the horizon. Momma Magno was a patient, loving and funny lady who spread a light like the sun does during the Golden Hour. It has always been my favorite light of the day. All the mundane-ness of life suddenly sparkles like it’s covered in honey for one last moment before darkness falls on it to rest and refresh for the next day. Micki was like that golden light. It flowed from her beautiful smile and twinkled in her eyes when she looked at me. I was lucky to have her in my life. The world is a little dimmer without her in it, but the brilliance of that golden sideways light will fill my heart with warm memories every time I catch a glimpse.

Aunt Micki was a very special, loving friend (and family) to my mom and daddy ... I remember growing up with she and Uncle Ray always in our lives and have loved how their friendships have remained strong all these years. I know my daddy was waiting for her in heaven with open arms, along with their loving group of friends, to welcome her home. Our hearts go out to you, Jenne, Liz, and Uncle Ray during this emotional time .. please feel our love and hugs all around you. Keeping you all so very close in our hearts. Love always, Lisa xoxo
