Obituary of Kathleen S. Moritz

Kathleen S. Moritz passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020, at Northgate Manor. Born in Buffalo on February 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Eleanore (Gronkowski) Rozek. Kathy was secretary at the Guidance Office at Emmet Belknap Middle School, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo; watching all sports, especially college basketball and baseball; reading; and spending time with her family. She graduated from Mount Saint Joseph in 1964 and from Rosary Hill College in 1968. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Paul C. Moritz; children Amy (Scott) Kurzdorfer and Brian (Jen) Moritz; and granddaughter Ellie. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth (Jane) Rozek, nephew Aaron (Cheryl) Rozek and niece Erica (Jay) Cerkiewicz. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 18, from 4-7 p.m. at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 19, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
