Obituary of H. Douglas Conlin

H. Douglas Conlin passed away February 5, 2020 under the care of his loving family and Niagara Hospice. Born June 23, 1939 in Lockport he was the son of Harold H. and Frances E. (Bugenhagen) Conlin. Doug was a DeSales High School graduate Class of 1958 and served in the in the US Air Force active duty for two years at Lowry Air Base in Denver, CO and six years in the 107th Tactical Fighter Wing, Air Force National Guard in Niagara Falls. He worked as a stock man for A&P in Lockport, the FBI in Washington DC where he was a fingerprint technician, and from 1964-1994 for Delphi Harrison. Doug was a life member of both the Council 319 Knights of Columbus and Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly 754. He and his family were very active with the 4-H being awarded Family of the Year and also active with Opportunities Unlimited being awarded the Opportunities Unlimited Family Recognition Award. Doug enjoyed family celebrations, was devoted to assisting his family members with their various activities, enjoyed dining out, and Sunday afternoon rides to Olcott Beach. He was predeceased by his wife Judith (Rignel) Conlin, whom he married June 7, 1969, she passed away March 8, 1973.
Doug is survived by his wife, Linda (Reger) Conlin, whom he married May 15, 1976; his children Robert (Charlene) Conlin, Brian Conlin (Liza Conrad), Thomas Conlin, Sean (Amanda) Conlin, Timothy Conlon, and Linda Conlin; grandchild Stella Conlin; his sisters Joan Bertino and Anne (Dr. Bill) Smith; sisters-in-law Sharon (Gregory) Eckert and Marilyn Reger; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, Feb. 10th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where prayers will be offered Tuesday, Feb. 11th at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association of WNY would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
