James Leger passed away February 2, 2020 in Elderwood of Lockport. Born July 13, 1928 in Jennings, LA he was the son of Nathan and Ida (Hall) Leger. James served in the US Army from 1946 to 1952 an worked for General Mills for 27 years in Buffalo where he was a machine operator retiring in 1988. After his retirement he moved to Dunnellon, FL living there for 28 years. James also enjoyed working in his garden. He was predeceased by his wife Antonie (Jorger) Leger on February 11, 2018. James is survived by his children Irene (Gerald) Benson and Marvin (Gayle) Leger; granddaughters Laurie Halper, Wendy Lindstrom and Cindy Cerrone and 14 great grandchildren; siblings Daniel (Patsy) Leger, and late Anna Rosie, Effie, Susie, Ava, and Vernon Leger; sister-in-law Heidi (Robert) Fuller several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
