Obituary of Audrey J. Sherman

Audrey J. Sherman passed away January 29, 2020 while under the care of Hospice and loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 15, 1939 in the town of Newstead, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Iva (Wicks) Ribbeck. She married her husband, LeRoy J. Sherman on December 17, 1955. He predeceased her in 2008. Audrey is survived by her children Virginia (Robert) Stymus, Lee (Richard) Burger, Wanda D. Sherman, Jacqueline (Charles) Behe, and Teresa (Roy) Woolson; brother Carl Ribbeck; brother-in-law Edwin Sherman; also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was also predeceased by her children Dallas J. Sherman, Georgia A. Just, and Debra L. Tetrault; and siblings Vernon Ribbeck, Ethel Anderson, Grace Alexander, Emily Kelkenburg, and Joan Brown. Audrey worked as a baker retiring in 1999. Relatives and friends may call Friday, Jan. 31st from 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 1st at 10 AM. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Donations to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated.
