Cheryl Lynn Yurek passed away January 28, 2020 in Buffalo General Medical Center. Born September 13, 1979 in Buffalo she was the daughter of the late Peter and Marla (Kratts) Maertin. Cheryl worked for Buffalo Medical Group where she was a collection representative. She will be remembered as a very caring and giving person always helping where she could. Cheryl was a living kidney donor and continued her selflessness after by donating what she could through Connect Life (formerly UNYTS). Cheryl is survived by her three cherished children Ryan, Kathryn, and Timothy Yurek; step children Nikita Huckabey and Kayla Yurek; cherished grandchildren Kenah, Eloise and Kendall; beloved brother Thomas (Melissa) Maertin; loving companion Daniel Viglietti; former husband Roger Yurek; also several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, Feb. 1st from 1-6 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 2nd at 1 PM in the First Presbyterian Church, 149 Broad Street, Tonawanda.
