Amelia "Mim" Artieri (nee Zinni), passed away on January 6, 2020 at Eastern Niagara Hospital. She was born in Lockport, NY on October 8, 1930 to James & Rose Zinni. She was the youngest of seven children; Theresa DeFlippo, John Zinni, Connie DiRisio, Emma Walker, Helen Capola, and Mary Kubiak. Mim was preceded in death by her late husband James Artieri and her son Jimmy. Mim worked in the ophthalmology offices of Dr. Morgana and Dr. Guttuso until her retirement. She enjoyed volunteering her time working with the Eucharistic Ministers at St. John's parish, and was a longtime Church School teacher for many years. Mim was an active part of St. John the Baptist RC Church as a member of the Alter Rosary Society, Offertory Team, among numerous other committees. Mim is survived by her children, Mark (Kelly) Artieri, Robert (Diane) Artieri, Jeffrey (Denise) Artieri, and Joanna (Robert) Grose. She loved her grandchildren Nicholas, Taylor, Ashley (Sam), Jordan, Gina, Erik, Hailey and great grandchildren, James and Alberto. She will also be missed by nieces and nephews. Family and Friends may call on Thursday, Jan. 9th from 3-7 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 10th at 10 AM at All Saints Oratory, 391 Market St., Lockport. Interment will be Cold Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
