Obituary of Mark Daniel Kilroy

Mark Daniel Kilroy of Lockport, NY, entered into rest on December 22, 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer, at Niagara Hospice House. Born December 9, 1970, in Lockport, NY, he was the son of Michael and Diane Hrvol Kilroy. Mark was an avid hockey player, and played on multiple hockey teams throughout his career. His favorite was playing defense for the Lockport High School Varsity team for four years, going on to win the state championship. Mark graduated with an Associate Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from NCCC. Mark had a strong work ethic and his pride and joy was working at Brunner International for the last 22 years. While he began in their engineering department, Mark rose to Plant Manager, and most recently General Manager. Mark had an incredible enthusiasm for life and his contagious laugh would light up a room. He was an avid sportsman, excelling in archery, hunting and fishing, and was passionate about competition, racing anything with an engine including snowmobiles, boats, and most recently Micro Sprint racecars. As passionate as he was about his hobbies, Mark’s greatest source of happiness was his family, as he was incredibly proud of his daughters Alexia and Torryn. Along with his parents, Mark will be missed deeply by his wife Brooke Lewis Kilroy, and his cherished daughters Alexia Grace Kilroy, 13 years old, and Torryn Elizabeth Kilroy, 11 years old. Mark was the beloved brother of Jeffrey (Amy Ferrari) Kilroy, and Lynne (Charles Turner) Kilroy, and cherished nephew of Carol Hrvol Flores. Mark was also loved by his father and mother-in-law Robert and Marlene Lewis, and brothers and sisters-in-law Thomas (Kristen) Lewis, Christen (Johnny) Mueller, Ashley Lewis, Sean Lewis, Treg Lewis, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 2-6pm on Sunday December 29, at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St, Lockport. A mass in celebration of Mark’s life will be held Monday December 30, at 10am at St John’s Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St, Lockport. Interment will be immediately following in Cold Springs Cemetery.
