Amy Lynn New passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Thursday December 19, 2019. Born in Lockport on April 18, 1967 she was the cherished daughter of Thomas and the late Karen (Urtel) Flechsenhaar.
Having attended Universities at Buffalo and Florida State, Amy earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in criminology. She was a life long active member of Christ Community Church, most recently serving in the Children’s and Family Life Ministries.
Besides her father, Amy is dearly missed by her sisters Wendy (Michael) Andrews, Beth (Keith) Krull and her long time boyfriend Scott Andrews. She was the loving aunt of Nicole (Steven) Frazer, Michael Andrews, Katie, David and Emily Krull and Jackson Andrews-Nye. Amy is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held at Christ Community Church, 140 Genesee Street, Lockport at 12 noon on Sunday, January 12th, 2020.
