Obituary of Margaret R. Bosseler

Margaret R. “Peg” Bosseler passed away December 19, 2019 in Lockport Rehab & Health Care Center. Born November 23, 1923 in Salamanca, NY she was the daughter of Michael and Veronica (Pinkoske) Kalamanka. Peg worked for the Niagara County Sherriff’s Department where she was a secretary. She was a member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, St. Anthony’s and St. Mary’s where she was active in the Altar & Rosary Society. Peg also worked on the Zoning Board and volunteered at the Dale Association, Eastern Niagara Hospital, and the American Red Cross. She enjoyed traveling and staying in elder hostels, baking, knitting, playing cards with her friends since the 1940’s. Peg was predeceased by her husband in 1995, John “Jack” Bosseler, whom she was married to for 50 years. Peg was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter Mary (Terry) Bream; grandsons Eric Bream and Greg (Melanie) Bream; sister Tiny Bacher; also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her husband Peg is also predeceased by her son Lawrence “Larry” Bosseler, daughter Kay Bosseler, brother John Kalamanka, and sister Thelma Zaprowski.
