Joan K. Wakefield passed away December 17, 2019 in Lockport Rehab & Health Care Center. Born December 1, 1933 in Kenmore she was the daughter of Lawrence and Leah (Skarratt) Knowl. Joan was a Registered Nurse with Lockport Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of Christ Community Church in Lockport and involved with the Divorce Recovery Group with the church. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her children Wesley Wakefield, James Wakefield, Linda (Gary) Bright, and Judy (Doug) Bradley; grandchildren Michael, Jamie, Jennifer, Jackie, Careese, Selena, Matthew, Leah, Jaelyn, Rachel, and late Robert; several great grandchildren; siblings Shirley Theabold and late Jack Knowl.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, Dec. 22nd from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 23rd at 10 AM in Christ Community Church, 140 Genesee St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
