Obituary of Jane Seekins

Jane G. Seekins, of Lockport, passed away December 22, 2010 in Absolut of Gasport Health Care Facility. Born December 23, 1922 in Lockport she was the daughter of George and Frances (Steblein) Gardner. Jane was a member of St. Brendan's on the Lake Roman Catholic Lake where she was on the Bereavement Committee. She also volunteered at the Salvation Army, she also was a member of the Dale Association and belonged to the Family Guidance Mother's Club. Jane enjoyed gardening, reading, playing bridge and was a horseshoe champion. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond E. Seekins in March 2004.
Jane is survived by her children Richard (Judith) Seekins of North Carolina, Thomas (Paula) Seekins, Timothy (Carol) Seekins, Robert (Maria) Seekins and Jeanine (David) Chatt all of Lockport; grandmother of eight and great grandmother of nine; sister of the late Catherine Allison, Joseph Gardner, Rosemary Lewis, Anna Margaret Owen, George Gardner and Grace Budde; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 27th at 12 Noon in St. Brendan's on the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 3455 Ewings Road, Newfane. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Memorials to the Dale Association , Lockport Public Library or the Salvation Army would be appreciated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 27th at 12 Noon in St. Brendan's on the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 3455 Ewings Road, Newfane.

Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
