Marilyn J. Phillips passed away November 22, 2019 under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born August 29, 1938 in Lockport she was the daughter of Roger and Marion Scott.  Marilyn was the church secretary at the First Baptist Church in Lockport for 21 years retiring in 2003.  Prior to that she worked at Bell Aerospace in the 1960’s.  She was an active member of the Christ Community Church where she led several bible study groups, served as an elder, a deacon, served on the Pastoral Committee, Baptism Committee, General Board, and also Vacation Bible School.  Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and sharing God’s love with everyone she had contact with.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert “Bob” Phillips; children Scott (Kelly) Phillips, Melinda (Jason) Richards, and Paige (Todd) Glynn; grandchildren Jake Phillips, Morgan Phillips, Shannon (Chris) Milcarski, Shawn Phillips, Victor (Melody) Ubiles, Daryl Ubiles, Alexander Danley, Desiree Glynn, and Solomon Glynn.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, November 24th from 2-4 PM with services following at 4 PM all in the Christ Community Church, 140 Genesee St., Lockport.  In lieu of flowers donations to the church or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
