Obituary of Janis L. Hawkes
Janis L. (Harvey) Hawkes passed away September 24, 2019 in Buffalo General Medical Center. Born June 5, 1951 in DuBois, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Vincenza (Trumbette) Harvey. Janis was a self employed home care aide. She enjoyed bingo, playing lottery tickets, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family Janis was a devoted grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Carter M. Hawkes, Sr. on July 31, 2015.
Janis is survived by her children Carter (Lisa) Hawkes, Jr., Colleen (Dean) Morris, Candace (Jeff) Kessel, and Curtis Hawkes; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren; siblings Linda (late Barry) Cole, Paula (David) Spencer, and late Robert Harvey; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, September 29th from 12-2 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
