Obituary of Gerard C. Wick

Gerard C. “Gerry” Wick passed away September 22, 2019 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.  Born March 10, 1950 in Lockport he was the son of Cyril and Mary (Eichinger) Wick.  Gerry served in the National Guard from 1969 to 1975.  He worked for Harrison Radiator for 30 years where he was a tow motor operator.  He was a member of the Solid Rock Assembly of God Church where he was a trustee and assisting with the Salt & Light Festival.  Gerry was also a life member of the Barker Fire Hall, was a scout leader, baseball coach since 2000, enjoyed mustang convertibles, and loved the Lord.  He was predeceased by his son Kevin Wick.

Gerry is survived by his wife Madeleine “Mindy” (DeVole) Wick; sons Jeffery Wick and Brian (Susan) Wick; step-children Tammy Gaboury and Paul (Cali) Gaboury; several beloved grandchildren; siblings Ronald Wick, Phyllis Clausen, Paul (Kathleen) Wick, Catherine (John) Donovan, Judith (Joseph) Carr, Elizabeth (Daniel) Beiter, and Jennifer (Robert) Lynch; also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, September 26th from 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27th at 10 AM in Solid Rock Assembly of God Church, 8590 Rochester Rd, Gasport, NY 14067.  Memorial donations to the church or to Newfane Lions Club would be appreciated by the family.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
