Obituary of Mary Ellen Parker
It’s with great sadness that the family of Mary Ellen Parker announces her passing on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Hospice House. She was the loving wife of William Parker to whom she was married 64 years. She was a devoted and loving mother to Wendy (Michael) Thayres, Lawrence (Jennifer) Parker, Randall (Susie) Parker, and Timothy (Lynne) Parker.
Her greatest joy was her 13 grandchildren, Lindsay (Brandon) Marvin, Ryanne (Michael) Wolfe, Dustin (Kerry) Ludke, Bryan (Dawn) Parker, Megan Parker, Jillian (Joseph) Mangiafesto, Steven (Allyson) Stevens, Danielle (Derek) Fish, Jordan (Isabel) Thayres, Brett Parker, Zachary Parker, Marissa Parker (fiancé James Devoe) and Samuel Parker.
Her 9 great grandchildren always put a smile on her face. Carson & Isabella Marvin, Parker & Nolan Wolfe, William Ludke, Avalene, Derek, Declan and Lila Fish.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Walter & Margaret (Yoder) Stauder. Mary is also predeceased by 8 siblings, Donald Stauder, Raymond Stauder, Arlene Stieg, Marion Ames, Geraldine Bumpers, Walter Stauder Jr., Jane Stauder and Joyce Mawhiney. Mary has several nieces and nephews that will miss her.
Mary was born in and lived in Lockport all her life. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mary devoted her time and love to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved decorating for the holidays and cheering for the Buffalo Bills. No family gathering or celebration was complete without her amazing potato salad and deviled eggs. Her family was everything to Mary.
Mary was a kind and compassionate nurse’s aide for over 30 years at St. Clare Manor. She loved the residents as her own family and took great pride in her job, often going the extra mile to make them feel special.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 6:30 p.m.
