Obituary of Herbert Rohde
Herbert W. Rohde passed away September 10, 2019 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born September 9, 1942 in Lockport he was the son of Herman S. and Katherine (Winter) Rohde. Herb served in the US Navy from 1964-1966 and started working for the Lockport Police Department in 1967. He was promoted to detective in February 1978 and was also appointed Firearm Instructor. Herb retired March 24, 2000 after 34 years of serving the City of Lockport. He was a member of the B. Leo Dolan Post 410 American Legion and enjoyed fishing, boating, and traveling especially to Florida.
Herb is survived by his wife, Mary K. (Mears) Rohde; sons Dennis W. and Kevin J. (Sarah) Rohde; grandchildren Miah, Braeden, Julia, Ava, and Bella; siblings Charles Rohde, Shirley Class, and Jane Crowe; also several nieces and nephews.
