Obituary of Emily E. Kelkenberg

Emily E. Kelkenberg passed away on Thursday September 5, 2019 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  Born in Newstead, NY on February 16, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ivy Wicks Ribbeck.  Emily was a member of the Miller Hose Ladies Auxiliary for over 25 years.   She enjoyed gardening, baking, and especially loved spending time with her family, having cookouts and spending holidays together.  Emily is predeceased by her husband Richard Kelkenberg, who passed away in 1992.

Emily was the mother of Clayton (Pamela) Kelkenberg, Jamie (Alicia) Kelkenberg, Richard (Heather) Kelkenberg Jr., Erica “Susie” Kelkenberg, Crystal Kelkenberg and the late Bonnie (Michael) Weaver and Rickie Kelkenberg; she is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and her dear friend Albert Chiavaczi.  Emily was the sister of Carl Ribbeck, Audrey Sherman and the late Butch Ribbeck, Grace Alexander, Ethel Anderson and Joanie Brown.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday Sept. 8th 1-5 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held on Monday September 9th at 10 AM.  Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery.  Memorials to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, P.O.
