Obituary of David M. Moje
David Moje passed away peacefully at his home August 24, 2019. Born in Lockport June 9, 1955 he was the son of the late Robert and Lauraine (Gregson) Moje. He leaves his wife of 39 year, Ann Moje (Leising) who he married May 17, 1980. Born and raised in Pendleton where he went to Starpoint Central and graduated in 1973. He worked at Pivot Punch Corp. for 45 years and worked his way up to becoming Assistant Plant Manager. David was an active member of the Wendelville Volunteer Fire Company, was chief from 1994, 1995, and 2018 and being an officer many other years. He was passionate about being a member of the fire company and was very active over his 46 years including being one of the members who went to the most calls many those years. He also received firemen of the year in 1983. He was a member of the NYS Chiefs Association and Good Shepherd R.C. Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and teasing with his grandkids.
David left behind his children, Jennifer (Peter) Chenier, late Elizabeth, and Matthew. Grandfather of Christopher and Nicholas Chenier. He is survived by his brother Randy, sister Cheryl (David) Wright and the late Paul (Kathleen) Moje. Son-in-law of Harold and Margret Leising, many aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Family and Friends may call on Tuesday August 27th 7-9 PM and Wednesday August 28th 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday August 29th at 10 AM at Good Shepherd RC Parish, 5442 Tonawanda Creek Rd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in his memory to the ALS Association Upstate NY Chapter. 135 Old Cove Rd, Ste 213 Liverpool, NY 13090.
