Roger, representing CSEA, sat across the negotiation table from me representing Niagara County management in the 2000s. He was strong, fair, and honest. I later came to know him as a Democratic party leader concerned about his community just as he was concerned about his union. Roger cared about and loved what he did. We had the opportunity to share with each other about our families and our battles to live with and fight cancer. One heck of a guy! Bless him and keep his family and many friends safe and well in this time of grief and life celebration for Roger!

Will miss Roger - a dear friend for many years he worked for CSEA. Intelligent, caring, innovative; devoted to his family, work and his community. His integrity permeated everything he did in a quiet, persuasive and always positive manner. Rest in peace, Roger.

Roger was a father completely dedicated to his children, Alec, Emma and Lydia....courteous and gracious to all who had the privilege of being in his presence. He was a man who believed in the truth and championed for betterment of his community, not for political gain. I was so honored to be a friend of his, in admiration of his intelligence and patience, and above all his integrity. He will be sorely missed but forever remembered.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Roger Sherrie. He was an excellent labor leader who dedicated his career solving the problems of the members of CSEA Region 6. He also cared deeply about the living conditions of the entire labor movement in Western New York.
