Obituary of Roger D. Malcolm

Roger D. Malcolm of Lockport entered into rest peacefully on August 5th, 2019. He was born February 26th, 1939 to the late Melvin (Edith) and Geraldine Malcolm. He married the love of his life, the late Ruth Malcolm (Gillis) on September 21st, 1968. He was the brother to the late Marylin Bye and Darryl Hinterberger and stepbrother to Marilyn Mallaber and William Behe. Roger is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Roger served honorably in the United States Navy for 9 year. He served on the City of Lockport Police Department for 27 year where he achieved the rank of Captain, retiring in 1995.

He enjoyed retirement while camping with Ruth and friends, visiting the casino, hanging out at the ballpark to watch his grandson play and most importantly spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children Paula Goff of Lockport and Roger Malcolm of Lockport. He was loved by his five grandchildren; Devin and Jacob Goff and Kayla, Kourtney and Konner Malcolm whom he loved to spend time with. He had two great grandchildren Mason Goff and Quinn Goff.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, Aug. 10th from 1-4 PM with services following at 4 PM all in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Memorial donations to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
