Obituary of Jeannette E. Manning

Jeannette E. Manning (Robinson) passed away June 19, 2019 in Northgate Manor, Wheatfield.  Born August 18, 1931 in Lockport she was the daughter of Van and Evelyn (Miller) Pils and sister of the late Vana VanBuren and Judy Vanvliet.  She was a 1949 graduate from Lockport High School and owned “Jeanette’s Korner Kitchen”.  Jeannette was a past member of South Lockport Ladies Auxiliary and past member of Mrytle Rebecca Lodge 84.  She also worked as a waitress from 1950 – 1970 at the Park Hotel and at Shamus Restaurant from 1968 – 1984.  Jeannette enjoyed gardening before retiring to Florida, and returning to the Lockport area in 2011 to be closer to family.  She was predecaesed by her husband, Burt W. Manning.

Jeannette is survived by her children Elaine (Jerry) Farnham, Vanette (Robert) Bennett of Tennessee, and Keith (Cheryl) Robinson; grandchildren Tennille (Jeff) Trenchard, Kelly (Don) Williams of Louisiana, Joseph (Jodi) Depew of California, Bradley Farnham, Robert (Heather) Farnham, Anthony, Maria D’Addeo, Aaron, and Callan Robinson; 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The Family wishes to thank the staff at Northgate Manor for the care of their mother throughout her stay.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 1st from 10 AM – 11 AM with a memorial service following at 11 AM all in Christ Episcopal Church, 7145 Fieldcrest Dr., Lockport.  Inurnment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
