Obituary of Mary F. Bruski

Mary Frances Bruski (58), passed away peacefully on June 3, 2019 following an extended hospital stay.  She had been a resident of Mount View Assisted Living for the previous 10 months and a life-long resident of Niagara County.  Born to Fred and Ann Bruski in Flint, Michigan on July 24, 1960 and living in Lockport, NY since the age of 8, Mary graduated Lockport Senior High in 1979.  Talented in all things creative, Mary became a licensed cosmetologist and ran her own beauty shop from her home on Washington Street for 10 years. She went on to do office work for Harnden Trucking, AA Nodine Insurance, and taught at Marjon School of Beauty. Mary also sold jewelry and was a top sales board member for Lady Remington Jewelry Company, which allowed her to take cruises and travel.  Mary was a faltering friend of Bill W. for many decades and had a charismatic personality that brought people joy.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Shawna [née Cudahy] (Jon) Pressley and grandsons, Levi and Jaxson (Sanborn, NY), mother, Ann Bruski, siblings Paul (Holland, NY), Patricia (Greg) Schaffer (Whitehouse, OH), John (Ruth) Bruski (Littleton, CO), sister-in-law Lizbeth Pease (Walkerton, IN), and several nieces and nephews.  Mary was predeceased by her father Fred, brother Stephen, and his daughter Caitlin Bruski.

Burial will be private in Cold Springs Cemetery and at the convenience of the family. Donations to the charity of one’s choice are appreciated.
