Obituary of Gloria D Chaffee
Gloria D. Chaffee passed away on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at Elderwood of Lockport. Born December 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Hazel Claude Dietz. Gloria retired from Verizon as a telephone operator, but her first job and most important was being a wonderful mother to her three children. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Clarence Center and was a member of the Dale Association. Gloria enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking and spending time with her family.
Gloria was the loving mother of Becky (Dale) Cummings, Beth Nichter and Russell (Brenda) Chaffee; grandmother of Laura Cummings, Rachel (Aaron) Rankie, Erin Nichter, Tim (Kristin) Nichter, Marc (Amy) Chaffee and Marissa Chaffee; great grandmother of Cora Rankie, Maverick Chaffee and Baby Nichter, who is on the way.
Friends may call on Sunday May 12th 3-6 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A funeral service will be held on Monday May 13th at 10 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 7720 Goodrich Rd, Clarence Center, NY 14032. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
