Obituary of Michael Anthony Pitonyak
Michael Anthony Pitonyak passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2019 in Niagara Hospice House after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls on April 30, 1960, he was the son of John S. and Angela Ortner Pitonyak, Jr. Michael was lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, graduating from Bishop Duffy Highschool, he then went on and graduated for Ohio Diesel Tech and also obtained his Private Pilots License. Michael worked at Mesmer’s Dairy, Praxair and most recently at Certo Brothers as the fleet manager for the past 20 yrs. He enjoyed playing baseball for the Frosted Mug, Game Cock and Ashker’s Dairy and bowled with the Holy Name Society. Michael was a classic car collector and restorer and belonged to Classic Car Clubs in Buffalo.
Beside his parents, Michael is also survived by his brother John A. (Michelle) Pitonyak, former wife Tina Marie Walker Plauman; his dog “Sonny”; several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many friends across the country.
Private services will be held at convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
