Mr. J was such a remarkable man. Growing up, he was my bus driver- but not just a bus driver, he was THE bus driver. Always greeted me with a smile and spoke to me like an adult ( all throughout my childhood ) which made me feel important. I decided at an early age to sit at the front of the bus, first seat to be exact, so Mr. J and I could have our morning/ afternoon chats. He was the wonderful, sweet man that always listened to my teenage sagas. His facial expressions were the best. Now that I think of it, I probably talked his ear off!
I saw him last at the Boyer wedding. We had a few good laughs together about the past before I had to go. We left on a great note, but sadly I didn’t know it was our last time together. With that being said, I only know the positive, and my heart goes out to his family and friends who were with with him towards the end of his remarkable life. He will be greatly missed, and his memory will live on forever in my heart.
