Obituary of Sally Ann Reid
Sally Ann Reid passed away February 27, 2019. Born October 11, 1955 in LeRoy, NY, she was the daughter of J. Andrew and Mary Ann (Nixon) Reamer. Sally was a US Army veteran and the owner and operator of several business, including the Fitness Palace until 1995 and several branches of Curves for Women until 2018. She was an active member of Pendleton Center United Methodist Church and maintained a studio space at the Market Street Art Gallery. Sally was an artist, a fitness enthusiast, and an avid reader.
Sally (or Mom, Grandma, Wifey) had an energy that left everyone else struggling to keep up. Whether she was sewing a new purse, painting a masterpiece, doing a workout at Curves, or running a busy and loving household, she approached everything with an optimism and energy that the rest of us only aspire to. She dedicated her life to the support and encouragement of those around her whether in their quest for healthier lifestyles or the development of their artistic talents. Sally was truly a teacher and giver in every sense. She will be loved and missed always.
Sally is survived by her husband Richard ‘Rick’ Reid; children Jill (Steve McQueen), Heidi, Emily, Alex, and Andy Reid; siblings Cathy (John Currier) Reamer, David (Sumiko) Reamer, Jimmy Reamer, and Stephen Reamer, and grandchildren Tristan, Aiden, Ryley, Morgan, Kodi, and Skylar, as well as many nieces and nephews.
