Obituary of Kenneth R. Lasal

Kenneth R. Lasal, 85 years of age, died February 20, 2019 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.  Ken was born September 9, 1933 in Lockport, NY.

Ken is survived by his loving wife Rita J. (Shaffer) Lasal after 64 years of marriage.  Children are Jeffrey K. Lasal (Deborah C. Lasal) and Julie A. Hayes (James Greene).  Grandchildren are Kaitlyn Lasal, Christian Lasal and Collin Hayes.  Mother-in-law Ruth Shepard (103) and sister Ruth Dahlberg (Jeff Dahlberg).  He was preceded in death by his sister Jean Andrews (Roger Andrews).

Ken retired from Niagara County Parks Department and was an exempt Terry’s Corners volunteer fire fighter. 

While being a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, he had an excellent work ethic and a zest for laughter and humor. 

He had a passion for hunting with his son and grandsons and even enjoyed mowing the lawns.  He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness and beautiful smile.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY  14094.  Services will be immediately following visitation.

In lieu of flowers memorials or donations may be made to Rapids Fire Company.
