Obituary of Janet S. Kipfer

Janet S. Kipfer passed away December 5, 2018 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born October 12, 1942 in Lockport she is the daughter of Isabelle (Daniels) Schaber and the late Jacob Schaber.  She graduated from Buffalo General Hospital Nursing School, where she received her RN. Janet worked for several years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Cheektowaga.  A devout Catholic she was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lockport and attended Good Shepherd RC Church, Pendleton.  Janet enjoyed taking care of stray animals.  She was predeceased by her husband James L. Kipfer on November 9, 2016.

Besides her mother Janet is also survived by her three sons James (Carrie) Kipfer, Kenneth (Theresa) Kipfer, David (Cindi Owens) Kipfer; grandchildren Michael (Elizabeth) Mulligan, Kathleen Kipfer, Steven Kipfer, Ashley Newman, and Jamie Kipfer; great granddaughter Isabella Mulligan; siblings Judith (Daniel) King and late Jacob Schaber; dear friend of Nancy Edmister and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, Dec. 7th from 6-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 8th at 10 AM.  Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Niagara County SPCA or Niagara Hospice would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
