Good afternoon
It is never a good day to receive the news of a parent’s passing. So untimely and with a heavy heart, I regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Joanne E. Chambers, the loving mother of our own, Investigator Scott Berhalter, Homicide Unit. Mrs. Chambers, a dedicated wife to Mr. Jeffrey D. Chambers, a loving mother, a dearly beloved family member, and friend to so many, entered into her peaceful rest on October 27th, 2018 at Niagara Hospice House. Mrs. Chambers was born on February 15th, 1963, in Lockport, New York, leaving so many to mourn her loss. With such treasured memories, and heartfelt tears, she will always be remembered. A passing comes like a thief in the night, especially that of a cherished mother. It robs you of your dreams and the hopes of a future with your loved one. But do not be discouraged. With that passing, comes everlasting memories of a bond that was shared between a mother and a child, a bond that can never be broken.
On behalf of Chief Erika Shields, Asst. Chief Rodney Bryant, Homicide Unit, and the entire APD family, we love you and are here for you during this difficult time. Should you need anything, please know that you don’t have to look far to find your support. We extend to you and your family our deepest thoughts and prayers. We pray that you will find some measure of comfort in knowing that your APD family grieves with you. Be encouraged, and know that we love you and are here for you during your time of bereavement.

I was so sorry to hear of Joanne's passing. It came as a shock as I was unaware of what she had been going thru until today.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Jeff and his immediate family as well as all of Joanne's family. I've known all of you for many years and worked with many of you. I hope somehow you can all find peace in the fact she is no longer suffering. May time heal the pain you are dealing with.
