Obituary of George E. Daskavitz
George E. Daskavitz passed away October 23, 2018. Born August 21, 1932 in Lockport he was the son of Michael and Mary (Shuba) Daskavitz. George earned his Bachelor’s degree from GMI graduating Cum Laude. He worked for GM Harrison Radiator, then onto Alliance Tool & Die in Rochester and retired from Tessy Plastics in Auburn where he was an engineer. George was a member of various rod and gun clubs, was an active trap shooter, enjoyed turkey and pheasant hunting and raised dogs to pheasant hunt. He was predeceased by his son Paul Bradley Daskavitz.
George is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara (Bars) Daskavitz; his children Michael Daskavitz and Debi (Daryl) Bentley; grandchildren Jenna, Rhionn, and Garrett DiVincenzo, Ashley and Zachary Bentley; his siblings Michael (Dorothy) Daskavitz, Anne (Lou) Valery, Esther Owens, and late Mary Catherine; also several nieces and nephews.
