Obituary of Richard Clyde McIntyre

Richard C. McIntyre passed away Saturday October 13, 2018 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born in Lockport on November 2, 1946, he was the son of the late Clyde and Thelma Coyle McIntyre.  Richard served in the US Army from 1967 until 1969.  He retired from the Niagara County Department of Motor Vehicles in Lockport after 34 years.  He was the President of the CSEA Local 832 for over 20 years and President of the CSEA Local 903 Unit 1 Retirees.  Richard also served on the Alcohol Council and was the Secretary of Niagara/Orleans Labor Council.  Richard enjoyed working on his computer and his iPhone, traveling, especially going on cruises.  He was also an avid NY Yankees fan, and loved his furry friend, Mia.

Richard is survived by his wife Marie Hemmer McIntyre; father of Jennifer Schultz and Brian McIntyre; grandfather of Simon Schultz.  He was the brother of the late J. William Berhalter and Robert Berhalter.  He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.

There will be no prior visitation.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday October 20th 2018 at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com
