Obituary of Mary Russo

Mary A. Russo passed away October 30, 2010 in Niagara Hospice House. Born August 29, 1922 in Lockport she was the daughter of Mariano and Jessie Cipolla Scaccia (Scotch). She worked in production at Harrison radiator for 24 years retiring in 1985. Mary was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed working on word puzzles, reading books especially cook books, watching the food network, loved to cook and had an uncanny ability of nurturing her house plants. Mary was a treasured mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family. Mary was predeceased by her husband Norman R. Russo in 1964. She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Axel Davis) Russo of Phoenix, AZ and Rita (William) Lang of Melbourne, FL. She is the grandmother of Jessica (Cole) Nichols, Kyle Davis, Tracey Lang, Tina Lang and Stefanie Lang; great grandmother of one; sister of Pam (late Jim) Siena of Rochester and the late Josephine Entwistle and Petrina Santarsiero; sister-in-law of Joseph Santarsiero; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday 9:30-10:30 AM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 391 Market St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
