Shirley June Brinley passed away October 9, 2010 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born June 13, 1936 in Lyndonville, she was the daughter of Earl and Lena (Koster) McKee. Shirley was a seamstress for several years. She served on the Niagara County Board of Elections and was a leader with the Gasport Boy and Girl Scouts. Shirley enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, helping people and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her husband Richard D. Brinley of Lockport; mother of John David (Susan) Brinley of South Carolina, Kevin James (Angela) Brinley of Lockport, Eric Scott (Dawn Pratz) Brinley of Cheyenne, WY, and ReDean Kay (Mike O'Hara) Brinley of Middleport; grandmother of eight and great grandmother of six; sister of Virginia Thaxter of Florida, Warren (Marilyn) McKee of Arizona, Jerry (Barbara) McKee of North Carolina, Barbara (Frank) Bernard of Lyndonville, Audrey (Gary Minke) Warner of Florida and the late Charles McKee and Darwin (Barbara) McKee. Shirley was sister-in-law of Ronald (late Rita) Brinley of Bethesda, MD and the late Raymond Brinley and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
