Edna L. Bodie Wood passed away June 27, 2009 in Niagara Hospice House. Born August 10, 1911 in Prompton, PA she was the daughter of the late General George Washington and Harriet Sherwood (Bennett) Bodie. Edna worked for 25 years in assembly for Harrison Radiator. She was a Newfane Senior Citizens, Lockport Hospital Guild, and First Baptist Church in Lockport where was the longest living member. Edna enjoyed gardening, flowers, working on crafts and what she will always be remembered for is her wonderful sense of humor. She was predeceased by her husband whom she was married to for 63 years, Leonard Marshall Wood in 1993.

Edna is survived by her children Donald Wood of New York City and Marilyn (Norman) Freeman of Lockport; grandmother of Tammy (Michael) Steen, Jeffery (Paula) Miller and Marilyn (Scott) Dinse; great grandmother of Brenna, Erin Miller, Madeline, Emily Steen and Alexander, Isabel Dinse; sister of the late Howard (Betty) Bodie and Mildred (Howard) Quast; also survived by four step grandchildren, ten step great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
