Roy Pichey Obituary

Roy J. Pichey passed away October 7, 2010 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born January 4, 1927 in Lockport he was the son of Roy and Alice (Castille) Pichey. Roy served in the US Army from 1945 to 1947 during WW II. He worked for Harrison Radiator for 32 years in production. Roy was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, American Legion Post 410, VFW, UAW, Round Tower Club, Hibernians and active with the YMCA and Big Brother. He enjoyed sports and playing golf. Roy was predeceased by his wife Betty Pichey on May 11, 2007.


Roy is survived by his children Michael Pichey of Wilson, NC, James Covert of Santa Anna, CA and Madeline Appelbaum of Asheville, NC; grandfather of Seand and Erin Pichey both of Wilson, NC; brother of Donna May Pichey, Christina D'Amico, Marion Pichey, Teresa Pichey, James Pichey, Joseph Lawrence Pichey and Rowland J. Pichey; several nieces and nephews.


There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
