Obituary of Clark Styres

The Creator called Clark B. Styres home unexpectedly September 26, 2010. He was born in Ohsweken, Ontario on April 30, 1935 to the late John and Bella (Martin) Styres. He was a member of the Cayuga Tribe of Six Nations, Ontario. Clark is survived by his siblings Ron Styres of St. Catherines, Ont., Edith "Pete" Styres, Holly Longboat both of Ohsweken, Ont., Lorna Hill of Niagara Falls, Ont. and Karmen Stevens of Cattaraugus Reservation. Also leaving behind several nieces and nephews including Tracy Styres, Lowell Longboat both of Ohsweken, Ont., Jackie (Bill) Labonte, Marie (late Elwin) Jones both of St. Catherines, Ont., Tony Styres of Ohsweken, Ont., Rogene (Michelle) Styres of Barker, Rory (Teresa) Styres of Lockport, Rosanne Styres of Newfane and Rona "Chop" Styres of Lockport; as well as a host of great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Clark was predeceased by his nephew Orven Styres.
Clark had worked for various farms in Niagara County including Kappus Farms, Henderson Farms, Niagara Orchards, Horning Farms, Fitches Farm, Warner Farms and many others. He enjoyed volunteering at the soup kitchen, BINGO, western movies, and reminiscing about the past and chatting with his many friends in Lockport.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday at 1 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the immediate family. Please visit www.pruddenandkandt.com to leave an online condolence to the family.
