Valerie L. Maroney-Murry was born in Reidsville, North Carolina on April 25, 1963. She lost her battle to an illness on February 20, 2018 surrounded by her family. She graduated from Lockport High School in 1981. Then she went on to Niagara Community College to receive her Associate Degree in Echo Technology, graduating in 1988. After college Valerie worked at Niagara Falls Memorial for 27 years. Valerie is survived by her husband Edward Murry, her sons; Roy Hamilton III, Ricky Hamilton, Edward Murry Jr., her step-daughters; Jamie Murry and Jessica Bowers., her mother Geraldine B. White wife of deceased stepfather Paul White, her father Lawrence B. Turner, her siblings; Nettie (Bobby) Richardson, Mona Maroney, Gloria (Harvey) Joseph, Rebia Maroney, Lawrence (Wanda) Maroney, William "Tony" Maroney, Martha White and Geraldine (Andre) Akin, her grandchildren; Aleiyah, Alana and Nevaeh Davis, Arianna and Casimir Martin, Keyaira Aaliyah, Laniyah, Kamara Hamilton. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Relatives and friends may call Monday, February 26, 2018 in Prudden and Kandt Funeral, 242 Genesee Street Lockport from 1 to 2:30 and 4 to 5:30 PM followed immediately at 5:30 by a memorial service.
