Dear Nancie, Richard and I are so sorry to hear about the death of your son Erik. I am always so saddened to hear of the death of a son or daughter that occurs before his or her parents. There should be some law of physics which insists that this should not happen. I am sure though that Eric is now in a good and peaceful place and that you and David and all your family will cherish and keep his memory close down through the years to come. I knew Eric as a bright & witty teenager accompanying his mom to cat shows. In the midst of sometime boring events, Eric knew how to make me laugh. We also discussed British history; I marveled at his knowledge of the Middle Ages & of Saxon legends. We can never understand why shining stars like Eric are called away so soon. I figure that whatever royalty rules the afterlife must be in need of a very special knight.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Eric as a little kid when I’d come over to visit. It sounds like he grew into an interesting man. There are never any good words when you lose a loved one. I hope you find comfort in each other.
