Retired Lockport resident, William Thomas "Tom" Keller, Jr. passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 after a long illness. He was 73 years old. Born and raised in a small town near Harrisburg, PA Tom served in the US Army and is a graduate of Penn State University. Tom moved to New York State in 1962 and resided in Lockport for 22 years. He joined the Lockport Lodge of Masons in 1986 where Tom served two terms as Potent Master and Worshipful Master. He was also a member of the Ismailia Shrine and served as president of the Lockport Shrine Club. Over the years Tom served as a volunteer for many organizations including Literacy Volunteers and Big Brothers of America. He was involved with foreign exchange students, participated in drug education for school students and worked with the disabled.
Surviving is his wife Elizabeth of 48 years and five daughters Jodi (Leonard) Scinta, Lisa (late David) Erickson, Susan (Bill) Rozumalski, Kimberly (Raymond) Falk and Kerri (Gary) Sheedy. He was the proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call Friday 3-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to the Schofield Residence, 3333 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo, NY 14217 would be appreciated by the family.
