Rosario Macaluso Obituary

Rosario J. "Roy" Macaluso passed away September 9, 2010 in Odd Fellows & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born September 25, 1924 in Lockport he was the son of Anthony and Anna (Muscarella) Macaluso. He served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946 during WW II. "Roy"worked for Harrison Radiator where he was a Journeyman Welder for 44 years retiring in 1986. Roy was a Communicant at both St Joseph's and St John's Roman Catholic Churches. He enjoyed gardening, walking, traveling, the NY Yankee's and other sporting events, and especially his grandchildren.


Rosario is survived by his wife Marie (Giafaglione) Macaluso of Lockport; father of Roy (Carol) Macaluso of Lockport, Gerald (Diane) Macaluso of Seneca Falls, NY and Cynthia (Sam) Jabaji of Pendleton; grandfather of Jeremy (Kristen) Macaluso, Jeff Macaluso, Rosemarie Jabaji, Tarek Jabaji and Alex Jabaji; brother of Anthony Macaluso of Florida, nephew of Mary Muscarella of Lockport and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street where prayers will be offered Saturday morning at 11:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Memorials to the St John's Outreach, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY would be appreciated by the family.

Relatives and friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM


Services

Prayers will be offered Saturday morning at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY.


Interment

Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
