I was sorry to read of the death of your mother, Barbara. I worked with both your dad and your mom in Habitat for Humanity here in Lockport, and appreciated their heart-felt love and support for people who needed affordable housing. They both served as chairs of the family selection committee and did so diligently and faithfully. I was sorry when they resigned from the board and missed them a lot after that.
But what I remember most was the months after I had my heart attack (14 years ago), how they cared and showed compassion to me as I healed, and how often they asked how I was doing and reminded me to take care of myself. I have always remembered their kindness at that time, and want you to know how much that meant to me.
God surround you with peace during this sad time and may the memories carry you through these next days and weeks.

Kevin and Nancy and families,
Our family sends our deepest sympathies on the passing of Aunt Barb. Although she wasn’t really our aunt, we all thought warmly of her and referred to her as Aunt Barb. It was always nice to visit with Aunt Barb and Uncle Larry. ( I still do use some of Uncle Larry’s jokes) They were both very special people. Your families will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
