Obituary of Michael Lewandowski

Michael J. Lewandowski passed away September 3, 2010 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born April 10, 1933 in Lockport he was the son of Matthew and Mary (Benedict) Lewandowski. Michael served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 being awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked for Harrison radiator where he was a tinsmith retiring in 1996. Michael was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling.
Michael is survived by his wife Margaret (Dutcher) Lewandowski of Lockport; father of Scott (Lynette) Lewandowski, Kenneth (Tracy Lanighan) Lewandowski and Kathryn Davis; grandfather of Thomas Davis, Shannon Davis, Erin Lewandowski and Brooke Lewandowski; brother of Leo (Donna) Lewandowski and Mary Carol (Ron) Goodenough; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
