James F. Elson passed away on Saturday October 21, 2017 in Amherst, NY. Born in Lockport on November 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Orla and Ora Johnson Elson. James served in the US Navy from 1969 until 1973; he worked as a laborer for Imerys in Niagara Falls, NY. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking and spending time with his family.
James is survived by his children, Heather (Robert) Parsell, William J. Elson and Raymond (Jaclyn) Elson; grandfather of ten and great grandfather of three. He was the brother of Eugene (Cathy) Elson and Albert Elson. James is also survived by his Uncle Roy "Tobe" Spring and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday October 24th, 4-5 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will immediately follow at 5 PM.
