Jozef Bednarz, 81 of Lockport, husband of Stefania (Soja) Bednarz passed away Friday, October 6, 2017. Born in Huta Plabanska, Poland on July 26, 1936. He was the son of Michala and Katarzyna (Szadow) Bednarz. Jozef moved to Lockport in 1959. He worked for Harrison Radiator for 34 years retiring in 1996. Jozef also worked privately as a carpenter and a bricklayer. In his spare time, he enjoyed Beekeeping and Hunting.
In addition to his wife, Jozef is survived by his two son's Peter (Sheila) Bednarz and Paul Bednarz. Grandfather of Michael, Daniel (Megan) and Kahtherine Bednarz. Great grandfather of Cooper Bednarz. Uncle of John and Paula Bednarz. He is also survived by one sister in Poland and was predeceased by one brother.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, Oct. 10th from 5 – 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 11th at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com
