Frank E. "Sonny" Genewick passed away on Friday September 22, 2017 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Lockport on February 25, 1943, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Stella Rudick Genewick. Frank worked for Harrison Radiator for 37 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed hunting, playing Euchre, model trains and especially classic cars. He loved going for rides and going to car shows with his Roadrunner.
Sonny is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith (nee Putnam) Genewick; father of Frank E. Genewick Jr., Stephen (Tiffany) Genewick and Karen (James) Hydock. Grandfather of W. Kyle Genewick, Corey and Nathan Hydock, Sean, Caleb, Paige and Luke Genewick; great grandfather of Tucker Genewick. Sonny was the brother of Frances (Walter) Bates and Ann (late David) Sailer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday September 27th 3-7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Sept. 28th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
