Obituary of Dorothy Horton

Dorothy Horton passed away August 25, 2010 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane. Born May 20, 1930 in Lockport she was the daughter of Edward and Emma (Colbey) Ferris. Dorothy worked at Wyndham Lawn in the cafeteria for 17 years retiring in 1991. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, camping and cooking. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Harold "Dutch" Horton on February 2, 2001. She is survived by her children Kathy (late Bill) Solotes, Paul (Ann) Horton and Kevin (Dorothy) Horton all of Lockport; grandmother of eight; great grandmother of eleven; sister of Virginia Maines of Lockport and the late Ruth Secrist, John Ferris and Mary Fonzi; also several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday 2 to 4 PM, where a Memorial Service will immediately follow at 4 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Memorials to Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane Site would be appreciated by the family.
