I was saddened to learn that Darlene had passed away. Abour 4 years ago Darlene re-introduced herself to me while I was visiting Lockport. It brought back so many memories of playing with you and your sister when we were kids. I am sure Darlene will be deeply missed. You have my heartfelt sympathy, John

I still can't believe you are gone, even with knowing that your time here was to be cut short. You were such a wonderful neighbor and friend. You always watched out for my pups and they were always so excited to see you. And I'm sure the treats had a part in that! You can't even imagine how much you will be missed. I'm sure my Max was very happy to see you. I know he will be your protector there and I'm sure he'll still be getting his treats! It does comfort me to know that one day I will see you again one day and can once again be neighbors. RIP

Danny and family: I'm very sorry to hear about Darlene. I did see her 2 years or so ago on a visit at Micki's and it was a very sweet occasion, because she was so different from the shy girl from high school....I understood that she was a tireless organizer of her friends for a variety of gatherings and instrumental in keeping friends in contact. She had a sweet personality and got along with all kinds of people. I'm sorry that she suffered in her illness and hope she found some peace.

Dear Danny, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My sister Alyce Odle worked at the telephone company with Darlene and were friends for many years. I had the pleasure of bowling with her for many years also. So glad I was able to know her and be her friend.

Darlene helped me "launch" my 48 year career with first New York Telephone in 1966 by training me to be a teller and ending with AT&T in Montgomery, Alabama. I have many great memories of our times at 16 Main St. She was a great teacher and a good friend.
