Deepest sympathy in the loss of your father, grandfather & brother, who was much more than a shoe man, he was a friend to all. He thrived on a craft that is a dying art, and understoid the customers love for their shoes. He always did his best to preserve your favorite shoes!

We have fond memories of visiting "the shoe man" and enjoying all of his great repairs.
He was always so willing to help and figure out how to solve the problem at hand. He has been missed since his recent illness. Our sympathy to all the family.

A good life is measured by how many friends you have. You, my friend, won the big poker pot ! Such a sweet, kind gentleman. RIP Vincent.

Community bids farewell to 'The Shoe Man' twice: on Dec. 15th, 2015 as he retired, and again now in July 2017 -- as we mourn his passing, but remember that great smile and all the good he did for so many, for so long...

Vince was a fine man and treated all with kindness and respect.
I knew Vince fifty years ago when I had my US&J paper route. As with many Lockportians, My family used his and his father's services. I saw Vince upon my last visit to Lockport, about five years ago.
Please accept my sincere condolences.

What al loss to Lockport! And the craftsman is also a loss to society. I remember frequenting "Sammy's" in the 1950s and hoping Vince would be there. Loved the picture with fond memories and sadness at losing an icon. 4GHn4
